Ryan J. Raleigh received his Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling at the University of Phoenix and has been working in the field of addiction since 2012. He has undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Human Development/Family Studies. He is passionate about overcoming the concepts of shame and isolation. Ryan has training and experience in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Lifespan Integration, EMDR, Psychodrama, and Addiction. He has been associated with BEDA Binge Eating Disorder Association Since 2013. Has facilitated and co-facilitated binge eating groups since 2013.

Terri has worked for House of Hope, Valley Behavioral Health, Salt Lake County Jail (ADC and Oxbow), and now Redwood Therapy Group. She works with adults, parents, and adolescents with mental health and substance abuse issues. Her experience is with trauma, anxiety, addictions, OCD, Panic, and Depression.
Terri has been happily married for 40 years and has four children and 11 grandchildren. She loves traveling, making music, and mostly spending time with family. She loves watching EMDR and other therapies transform the lives of her clients.

Scott R. Peterson, LCSW, CSAT

Addiction Specialist
Scott Peterson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, pornography and sexual addictions, trauma, Bipolar disorder, and food addiction.
He received his master's degree from Brigham Young University where he taught in the Graduate School of Social Work. He has co-authored three books on the topics of self-esteem and personal identity. His fourth book is due for publication next year. He has conducted training seminars throughout the United States and Australia and was part of a research team that visited Israel to study conflict resolution methods in the Middle East.
Scott's favorite place to visit is Tahiti where he learned to speak French and Tahitian.
His favorite quote is, "Perceived failure is not a permanent condition."

Rob Armstrong, CMHC
Primary Therapist

Rob is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. He received an Associate of Science Degree in General Education from Snow College, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Utah, and a Master of Arts in Counseling: Clinical Mental Health at Adams State University.
Rob started working in the mental health field in 2002 at The Children’s Center facilitating small groups of preschool-aged children with social, behavioral, and emotional disturbances. Later while at The Children's Center, he began to learn Play Therapy during his internship for counseling. His understanding of the complexities of the human experience was further shaped by his experience working as a psychiatric technician at LDS Hospital and then the University Neuropsychiatric Institute (2010 – 2015). There he worked mainly with adults in an acute psychiatric hospital setting, caring for those suffering from severe mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and eating disorders, as well as those struggling with addictions.
His experience was further developed through his experience working at Alliance Clinical Services and Alliance Youth Services where he counseled adolescents and adults who were involved in the criminal justice system for domestic violence & substance abuse. He also served the severely and persistently mentally ill population, juvenile drug court, and adult drug court clients in Tooele with Valley.
Rob's therapeutic approach has been greatly influenced by the person-centered approach as a means for establishing a strong therapeutic connection with clients, whereby positive meaningful change can happen. He also specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
His greatest joy comes from spending time with his beautiful wife and two wonderful children. He is originally from the Salt Lake Valley. He loves a wide variety of music and his favorite bands are U2 and the Beatles. His favorite TV shows are Seinfeld and The Office, and he loves to laugh. He also enjoys gardening, caring for his yard, camping, backpacking, and hiking.

Charlotte Canella, CMHC

Charlotte attended Park University in Missouri and then earned her Master of Education in Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University. She is now a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Utah as well as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Idaho. She previously practiced in Nampa Idaho for more than 13 years before moving to Utah in 2014.
Charlotte has over 22 years of experience in counseling individuals, adolescents, couples, and families. She is highly skilled in treating anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma, mental disorders, eating disorders, substance abuse, marital issues, teen and adolescent issues, grief, and adjustment disorders. She enjoys working with children, teenagers, and couples, both as partners and as parents, She became a therapist to help people work through their challenges and have healthier and happier, more full-fulling lives. Charlotte loves outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, boating, and riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers. She enjoys spending time with her family, singing together, and sharing memories of her parents.

Jill Poulson

Jill has a gentle manner, soft voice, and deep empathy for those struggling with grief and trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns. Her authentic therapeutic approach includes an emphasis on encouraging clients to lean into greater self-compassion as she assists them to integrate their individual strengths, and resources to improve wellness, hope, and a clear vision of healing. Jill enjoys working with individuals, couples, and adolescents.
Jill has been working in the therapeutic field for over five years. First administratively, then as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She is a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association and has completed level l & ll training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and uses Expressive Arts Therapy in her work with clients

Jeanne Miller, CSW
Therapist
Jeanne graduated with her Bachelor of Social Work from The University of Utah and her Master of Social Work from Boise State University before becoming a Certified Social Worker. She has experience with and enjoys working with individuals of all ages. She has also spent a large portion of her life mentoring youth in her neighborhood. Jeanne has worked with the Salt Lake City Police Department in their Crisis Intervention Team unit working alongside the officers and social workers and spent time working on the state Crisis/Suicide Hotline taking crisis calls. She has also worked with individuals who suffer from eating disorders as well as children with behavioral issues, ADHD, and trauma. Jeanne lived with a law enforcement officer for over 20 years and gained a great deal of experience with the police and first responder culture allowing her to be comfortable with the unique challenges faced by these communities.
Jeanne enjoys spending time with her children and family and their Husky/German Shepherd, Winnie. She loves being outdoors, listening to music of all genres, and can quote more 80's movies than she would like to admit.

Nancy is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Westminster College in Utah. She received her Master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Utah.
Nancy has been working in the mental health field since 2003. She believes strongly in the emotional healing process and believes in the ability to not only overcome painful life experiences but to be a stronger person because of these difficult experiences. Nancy believes in one's innate ability to heal from emotional wounding and feels privileged to be able to guide and support this process. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults and has worked in residential, day treatment, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment settings.
Nancy has experience working in substance abuse/addiction, trauma, grief and loss, body image, self-image, and empowerment. She has experience working with many mental health disorders including Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar disorder, Anxiety, Depression, and personality disorders. Nancy co-lead the Trauma Recovery and empowerment group at Valley Mental Health for three and a half years. She has experience teaching healthy relationships, healthy sexuality, body image, DBT, Relapse Prevention. She has had the opportunity to present at two conferences on trauma and recovery.
Nancy is a member of Psi Chi- The National Honor Society in Psychology, Utah Mental Health Counselor's Association, and American Mental Health Counselor's Association.

Jason Pugh, LCMHC

Jason is an Clinical Mental Health Counselor. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University. He also has his Master’s Degree of Education in Counseling Psychology from the University of Utah.
Jason loves being able to help people. He has experience in working with individuals of all ages dealing with anxiety, depression, and relationship skills. He enjoys working with couples and individuals who need a little extra help to find balance in their life and the happiness that they desire. Jason has experience in working with multiple groups including: anger management/domestic violence, substance abuse, parenting, and relationship strengthening. He has worked for The Children’s Center, facilitating small groups of children assisting them in developing life skills both socially and emotionally. Prior to working with Redwood Therapy Group, Jason had the opportunity of working for LDS Family Services in Las Vegas.
Jason is very happy to be a member of the Redwood Therapy Team. He has been a resident of Salt Lake most of his life and loves being able to live in this wonderful valley and enjoy the beauty it has to offer. His interests include spending time with his family as much as he can, especially in the outdoors and at the barn with his horses Rambo and Sly.
Jason is fluent in Portuguese and speaks some Spanish.
